Aquaculture, also known as aquafarming, is the farming of aquatic animals or plants, including breeding, raising and harvesting in all types of water environments in controlled conditions. This unique and niche CLE program will inform you of issues that Long Island aquafarmers are facing. You will learn: An Overview of Government Policy; A Day in the Life of an Oyster Farmer The Islip Bay Bottom Leasing Program and the Great Atlantic Shellfish Farm and Zoning and Riparian Rights Which Impact Shellfish Aquaculture.
