Domestic Violence and the Family Pet-December 1, 2020-DVD OR CD

Domestic Violence often includes the family pet. The abuser either harms or kills the pet as a form of control over the victim. This CLE course will explain the role of the family pet in a domestic violence situation and will also introduce you to the direct link between acts of cruelty to animals and violence toward humans including domestic violence, elder abuse and other violent behavior. We will also explore safe havens for the victim and their pet.
